The Fall

Set in Amsterdam, The Fall is a novel comprised of series of regretful monologues as delivered by a successful Parisian lawyer to a stranger. This would be Camus's last novel published during his lifetime, and it is hard not to read the book as an autobiographical apology for his own mistakes and infidelities.
