Eyes of Prey

John Sandford's Eyes of Prey, the third book in the Prey Series, once again features Lucas Davenport, a maverick homicide detective with the Minneapolis Police Department. The plot is a good one, as Davenport investigates a violent murder that includes the mutilation of the victim's eyes. Meanwhile, Davenport has become a more complex and interesting character, battling personal demons of his own. Recommended.
