With Eat the Rich: A Treatise on Economics, P.J. O’Rourke’s subject is too broad and his amateur free-market libertarianism is too glib and incomplete. But once again there are enough witty one-liners to make it an entertaining read. A lot of right-leaning economists seem to regard this as his best book; Greg Mankiw put it on his summer reading list several years ago.
