Class Trip & The Mustache brings together two of Emmauel Carrere’s previously-published novellas. Neither rank with his best work, however Class Trip is the superior of the two. It involves a schoolboy whose two-week class skiing trip is comprised of one misfortune after another. Few modern works of fiction capture so well how the world is perceived by children, and how their sensitive natures make them poorly suited to cope with it.
