The Pequod Review:

A significant departure from P.D. James's traditional Dalgliesh procedurals, The Children of Men imagines a future dystopia of male sterility. James intelligently considers the long-term consequences of such a event; with no thought of children or any future, the social and political culture becomes nativist and self-absorbed, with a sharp turn towards authoritarianism.
