Champagne for One

Archie Goodwin mingles with high society in Rex Stout's thirty-first Nero Wolfe novel, Champagne for One, as he investigates the apparent suicide of a charity gala attendee. This may not be in the of top tier Nero Wolfe novels, but the investigation is well-plotted and after a slow start the book culminates in a solid resolution.
