The Pequod Review:

Fredrik Backman's sixth novel, Beartown, is the story of a hockey-obsessed Swedish town that is upended when its star junior hockey player is accused of rape. Backman's narrative is earnest and a bit predictable, but he intelligently captures the details of small town life — the local politics, the economic concerns, and the pressures of youth sports.
