The Pequod Review:
Samuel Clemens’s Autobiography, if you can call is that, is primarily comprised of random thoughts and anecdotes that he dictated during the last few years of his life. Given the mixed quality of most of the entries, as well as the extensive revisions that went into his best fiction, it is clear that Clemens put a lot of work into making Mark Twain appear so effortless.
